Promoting local geoheritage in Spain




Promoting local geoheritage towards conservation and proper public use.
The Autumn 2013 program of activities organized by the Comission on Geoheritage (CPG) of the Geological Society of Spain (SGE) at the small town of Cifuentes (Guadalajara, Spain) is the following:

- Scientific sessions of the SGE (download program here)
- Main conference on "Mines and minerals of Guadalajara province"
- Guided tour around downtown on the history of and the rocks used on the main architectural monuments
- Main conference on "Local geoheritage around Cifuentes"
- Guided tour in the surroundings of Cifuentes to show its main local geosites

These events take place Friday and Saturday November 29th-30th, 2013
All activities were free and open to the public.
